Advancement Committee

The Advancement Committee is the fundraising arm for LFI and is responsible for the Circle of Investors, supporting the Northern Virginia Leadership Awards and going on ambassador visits. The committee meets monthly.

The ELI Program Committee is responsible for all aspects of planning, organizing and implementing the Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) program. This includes the responsibility for delegating, overseeing, and approving the work done by the ELI Curriculum, ELI Community Service Projects, and the ELI Mentoring sub-committees. The ELI Program Committee is composed of the chairs and vice-chairs of each ELI sub-committee. The ELI Program Committee meets during the summer and monthly after the ELI program begins in September.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee's primary objectives include oversight of the current year's budget, preparation of the next fiscal year's budget, development of future budget projections as well as providing financial guidance to all Leadership Fairfax committees. The committee meets monthly.

The Governance Committee works with Leadership Fairfax staff and the Board of Directors on strategic planning and on the development of internal policies and procedures. The committee meets monthly.
Leadership Fairfax Gala Committee

The Gala Committee is responsible for producing the annual gala, which includes soliciting sponsorships and silent auction items and managing the award nominations and application process for the annual awards dinner. The committee meetings vary according to the event timeline.
Leadership Fairfax 25th Anniversary Committee

LFI Program Committee

The Leadership Fairfax Program Committee manages and oversees the annual class program. This committee also works with coaches, who support class planning teams for their program days. The committee and its members plan the opening and final program days as well as a Leadership day, a County and Local Government day and a Virtual Road to Richmond day. The committee meets monthly.
Marketing & Communications

The Marketing and Communications Committee's mission is to assess, develop and implement strategies and tactics to effectively brand, differentiate and promote Leadership Fairfax. The committee also provides resources that inform alumni of upcoming events, personal and professional updates and leadership opportunities. Responsibilities include promotional brochures, Leadership Fairfax Web site, Destination Leadership newsletter and the LFI Directory. The committee meets monthly.
Member Engagement Committee

The Member Engagement Committee offers opportunities for member networking and continuing education. Programs include Member Reception, Leaders That Lunch, Leadership on Tap, and continuing education. The committee meets monthly.

The pillar chair oversees the Marketing and Communications, the SERVEFairfax, and Member Engagement Committee.
Recruiting Committee

The Recruiting Committee is responsible for a recruitment plan identifying and attracting candidates for each year's new LFI and ELI class programs. The Committee plans several info sessions and spreads the word about the Leadership Fairfax programs, especially to those organizations and communities that will best represent the diversity of the county. The committee seeks speaking opportunities to introduce Leadership Fairfax to the community.
Selection Committee

The Selection Committee meets each summer to review the applicants for the annual class program and selects a class composition based on the criteria and the strength of the applicant. The committee focuses on filling a class that best represents diversity in terms of gender, ethnicity and geography, reflecting the breadth and depth of the Northern Virginia region's business, nonprofit, community, government and education sectors.
The SERVEFairfax Committee supports the efforts of Leadership Fairfax to connect its alumni to invest their skills and talents to passionately serve the county’s nonprofit community. The committee oversees the various SERVEFairfax initiatives including Leadership@YourService, the Mason-Leadership Fairfax Partnership 'Honors College Connects' and other community service project teams initiatives.
