Welcome to the home page of Leadership Fairfax’s Northern
Virginia Leadership Awards Attended by the “who’s who”
in Virginia, NVLA features a host of activities that support the community and
Leadership Fairfax, Inc rolled up into a fast paced night of fun and frolic.
(NVLA) Gala and Auction. The NVLA Gala is a hallmark event
that brings the best and the brightest in our community out
for a night of fun, celebration and fundraising.
Awards
This year NVLA will focus its attention on “Leadership thorough Education”.
Dr. Alan G. Merten, President of George Mason University will be our special
guest and be awarded the Northern Virginia Regional Leadership Award. In addition,
three additional awards will be given for community leadership, educational
leadership, and youth leadership.
Auction
Complementing the community focus of the awards will be the NVLA Auction. The
auction is the main fundraiser for Leadership Fairfax, Inc and helps us to continue
to educate and serve the community in which we all live and work. This
year’s auction promises to be bigger and better than last year. It will
offer an opportunity for all bidders, big and small, to walk away with something
fabulous, support an important cause and have fun doing it!
The Northern Virginia Leadership Awards were initiated in 1997
to recognize individuals and groups who have made a difference in the Northern
Virginia community through their vision, innovation, courage, commitment and
inspiration. Awards presented honor businesses, individuals, nonprofit organizations,
public officials and community partnerships. This tradition continues today
as we honor those people who have shown true commitment to the field of education.
